The Guilderland Police and neighboring communities have seen an uprise in thefts from unlocked motor vehicles during the overnight hours. Residents are reminded to ALWAYS lock your vehicles and not leave valuable items inside. In addition to vehicles, residences and out buildings should also be secured. It is also recommended to utilize outside lighting, alarms and security cameras if available. Report any suspicious persons or vehicles immediately. Anyone who has information on recent thefts or has home security video is asked to contact Inv.
