We often receive questions from the public on how to prevent a theft from your car or having your vehicle stolen. Here are a few ideas to help prevent a theft:

- Lock your car!
- Never leave valuables in plain sight. This is one of the most common reasons why thieves target a vehicle.
- Take your keys/key fobs with you.
- Never hide a spare key on the vehicle.
- Roll up windows completely.
- Park in well-lighted areas.
- Park as close as possible to an open business.
- If you have a garage, use it.
- Lock your garage door.
- NEVER leave your car running while it is unattended.
