June 26th Peaceful Protest
The Bordentown Township Police Department advises of traffic impacts that will occur on Friday evening from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm as a result of a peaceful protest. Further details are as follows:
6:30 pm: Marchers will depart the Bordentown Regional High School and head down Ward Ave. to Willow Rd. Participants will then walk down Willow Rd. to the rear entrance of Joseph Lawrence Park located off of Fern Lane. The group will then assemble at the park’s gazebo for a rally with guest speakers.
This will involve temporary road closures of Ward Ave., Willow Rd., Charles Bossert Dr. and Fern Lane.
8:00 pm (estimated): Participants will depart Joseph Lawrence Park and cross over Ward Ave. in order to return to the High School.
This will involve a temporary road closure of Ward Ave.
A number of Bordentown Township police officers will be stationed along the route to assist with traffic control and these streets will gradually reopen to vehicle traffic once all participants have passed.
