In order to turn High Street into a pedestrian mall, all vehicles must be moved from the uptown meters (High Street and East & West Park Place) no later from 3 p.m. today. We posted signs on the meters this morning with this info. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation!  High Street and Main Street will be closed with detour signs posted.

This is an opportunity for people to head uptown and socialize outdoors and in the streets while businesses set up tables outside to sell their goods. The first Red Brick Friday is TODAY from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.  This is also the first night for the DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) in Oxford. This is a growing trend across the state of Ohio and allows adults over 21 years of age to purchase an alcoholic drink in a special cup from a bar or restaurant and walk around outside within the DORA district.
