Deputies arrested 37-year-old Robert Crain of Hemet for attempted murder and child endangerment

SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 1:06 p.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station responded to the 30000 block of Hook Creek Road in reference to an alleged assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle. Robert Crain was involved in an argument with the victim and his father. During the argument, Crain got into his vehicle and deliberately rammed an uninvolved motorist multiple times using his own vehicle. Crain then intentionally drove toward the victim and his father at a high rate of speed, striking them both. The victim was drug under the vehicle and both the victim, and his father sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. The other occupants inside of Crain's vehicle during the incident were his wife and two small children. Crain fled the scene and was detained a short time later.
Crain was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for charges of Attempted Murder and Child Endangerment and he is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
