...THREAT FOR HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING... The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of central Illinois, southeast Illinois, and west central Illinois, including the following areas, in central Illinois, Christian, Menard, Sangamon, and Shelby counties. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Effingham, Jasper, and Richland counties. In west central Illinois, Cass, Morgan, Schuyler, and Scott counties.
* Through 10 AM Wednesday morning.
* Rainfall through early Tuesday morning ranged from 1.5 to 3 inches in areas from near Rushville to Springfield to Flora. Additional rain of 1 to 3 inches is possible in these same areas through tonight.
* Additional heavy rainfall may result in flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas, small streams, and urban areas. Rises on larger streams and rivers will also be possible.
* AFFECTED AREAS: JASPER ... MENARD ... CLAY ... CHRISTIAN ... EFFINGHAM ... CASS ... SCHUYLER ... SANGAMON ... SCOTT ... RICHLAND ... SHELBY ... MORGAN
