During the early morning hours of July 3, 2020, a vehicle was stolen from Sausalito that had a shotgun stored in the trunk. The shotgun was disassembled and in a locked gun case and there was no ammunition with the shotgun.

The Sausalito Police Department would like to remind the community to make sure they lock and secure their vehciles whenever they are parked. All keys and valuables should be removed from a parked vehicle. Firearms should never be stored in a vehicle.
