Mercersburg Police are looking for a hit & run vehicle that struck two parked cars along South Main Street on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 6:04 a.m. The hit & run vehicle is a maroon/dark red older model Honda with damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and the left outside mirror.

DETAILS:

Vehicle # 1, the hit & run vehicle was a maroon/dark red older Honda and it was travelling south on South Main Street in Mercersburg. Vehicle #2 a blue 2002 Saturn sedan was parked and unattended on the east side of South Main Street, facing north in front of 105 South Main Street. Vehicle # 3, a 2005 silver Pontiac Montana Station Wagon was also parked and unattended on the east side of South Main Street in front of 107 South Main Street behind Vehicle # 2 and was facing north.

For unknown reasons the operator of the hit & run vehicle allowed the vehicle to cross the north bound lane of South Main Street and onto the east side where it struck both parked vehicles on the left side with it’s left side.

Impact caused the left outside mirrors of all three vehicles to be snapped off. In addition to the damage to the left mirror, vehicle # 2 was scrapped by the hit & run vehicle along the left front and rear doors. Vehicle # 3’s left front headlight, bumper and tire were damaged in addition to it’s left mirror.

The driver of the hit & run Vehicle fled the accident scene by driving south on South Main Street.
