We are experiencing an increase in bicycle thefts from residences this past week, the latest two occurring overnight Monday into Tuesday.  Last night mailboxes were ransacked in the Tamalpais Road neighborhoods.
 
Our night shift surveillance officer tried to speak with a suspicious person around midnight who refused to talk with the officer.  Since there was no probable cause to detain this person the officer took no further action.  They did not appear to live or have business in the area they were seen.
 
Please call us if you see or hear anything suspicious especially in the overnight hours.
