Suspect: Vashon Conway, 40-year-old male (In-custody)

On Wednesday, July 8th, 2020, at approximately 11:50 PM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Hilton Street on the report of an in-progress residential burglary. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect, identified as Vashon Conway, in front of the apartment complex.

As Officers approached the victim’s apartment they observed the front window screen had been removed and the front window was open. The victim told Officers he was awakened by someone in his apartment. The victim exited his bedroom and found the suspect standing in his living room. The suspect fled the apartment, but was later positively identified by the victim.

Conway was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for residential burglary, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a probation violation.
