The Moraga Police Department is continuing to work with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife regarding the coyote bite incident that occurred yesterday at the Moraga Commons Park. Coyotes are more active at dusk and out of an abundance of caution, the park will be closing early today. We ask the public to remain out of the area for the time being.

We expect the park to be open tomorrow during normal hours. If anyone has seen a coyote in the area recently, or has any additional information, please contact Lt. Brian South at [email protected].
