Full Notification

MOFD, the Orinda Police Dept, and the Community Warning System (CWS) will hold a community-wide virtual evacuation exercise beginning at 7:30 AM tomorrow (Saturday July 18). The exercise will involve all of Orinda. Residents should expect a notification from CWS via phone, text and/or email in the morning. The purpose of the exercise is to test and refine the communication system that will be used in the event of an emergency evacuation in our community, to encourage residents to prepare for an evacuation, and to improve information sharing and coordination between relevant organizations. 
 
This will be a virtual evacuation exercise, meaning that the exercise will consist of notifications only, and will NOT involve residents actually evacuating.
