Full Notification

On July 13th at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Frankfort Police Department responded to a Ruse Burglary in the 500 Block of Aberdeen. The offenders claimed to work for the water department and were allowed access to the home after saying they needed to check the pipes in the basement. They were able to obtain valuables from within the home without the victim’s knowledge or consent. No one was physically harmed during this incident. Offender number one is described as a M/W approximately 60 yoa, wearing a blue surgical type face mask, a yellow/orange reflector vest, blue jeans, construction boots, and no gloves. The second offender is described as a younger M/W approximately 40 yoa, skinny build, wearing the same clothing as offender number one. Please remember to always verify the identity of any workers who come to your home without an appointment. All legitimate workers should have credentials with them to verify their names and employment. You can call their employer’s listed phone number to verify their employment and their purpose at your residence. If you are suspicious of a worker’s legitimacy, you should contact the Frankfort Police Department immediately for assistance. We continue to ask residents to call in ANY suspicious persons, activities, vehicles, and incidents.
