Current Public Health Order and Shelter-in-Place restrictions as of July 13, 2020

Although some of the shelter-in-place restrictions have been eased since Marin’s Public Health Order took effect on March 17th, some constraints were re-imposed this week. On Monday, July 13th Governor Newsom ordered the immediate closure of some indoor business operations statewide due to a spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The businesses included indoor dining, and both indoor and outdoor operations of all bars. In addition, Marin County, as one of 30 other counties on the State’s watch list, is also required to close indoor hair salons, barber shops, and indoor non-essential business offices. The updated status of business and industry re-openings in Marin County can be found at https://MarinRecovers.com
Additional details about the Governor’s directive can be found at https://covid19.ca.gov

While the status of business, dining, and personal services is fluid, the requirement for face coverings and physical distancing has not changed. Specifically, the order states that people must wear face coverings when:
• Inside public spaces or waiting in line to enter public spaces
• Seeking health care
• Waiting for or riding on mass transit or other shared transportation
• In common areas of buildings, such as hallways, stairways, elevators and parking facilities.
• Workers at businesses physically open and in areas where the public is present, likely to be present, or at any time when others are nearby.
• Workers in any space where food is being prepared and/or packaged for sale.
• Drivers/Operators of public transit.

Violation of the Public Health Order is a misdemeanor. If you have a concern about a violation of the Order in Larkspur, Corte Madera, or San Anselmo you can notify us by calling our non-emergency line at 415.927.5150. All notifications will be reviewed and we will enforce as appropriate.
