FACE COVERINGS IN MARIN PER COUNTY HEALTH ORDER
7/15/2020 On behalf of the Town of Fairfax. Face Coverings In Marin Per County Health Order.
As a reminder, per the County Health Order, face coverings are required for everyone in Marin -- over 2 years old under the following circumstances:
at indoor AND outdoor businesses – whether as an employee or a customer waiting in line to enter a store
waiting for and using public transit when in a taxi or rideshare when seeking healthcare; or visiting
a hospital, medical clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, dental office, veterinary clinic or blood bank
While outdoors in public spaces when maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet from persons who are not members of the same household or residence is not feasible.
The Town is working with the Chamber of Commerce to provide free masks to businesses to distribute to their customers. They are also working to install more signage to remind people to maintain their social distancing when walking in the downtown area.
More detailed in depth information on the state order and county health order can be found on their respective web sites. Everyone is encourage to read these orders as there has and continues to be confusion as to when a face coverings, must be worn and when it may not be required.
