Jeremiah Henkel of Valley of Enchantment was arrested for attempted murder

SUSPECT(S): Jeremiah Henkel, age 38 a resident of Valley of Enchantment

SUMMARY: On July 16, 2020, at approximately 10:31 a.m. deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Twin Peaks Station responded to a man armed with a handgun and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. Upon arrival, deputies detained Jeremiah Henkel as he was fleeing the scene. During the investigation, deputies found a loaded handgun under the passenger seat of the car Henkel arrived in. Through investigation, it was determined Henkel pointed the handgun at the victim and threatened to kill him.
Jeremiah Henkel was arrested for attempted murder and was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
