Shooting on Ciolino Ave
On Friday July 17th, at approximately 8:10 pm, Morgan Hill Police were dispatched to Ciolino Ave on reports of multiple gun shots being fired. Upon arrival, MHPD patrol officers initiated an investigation and contacted a male victim and witnesses at the scene.
During the investigation, it was determined the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ciolino Ave prior to the shooting. The suspect vehicle then slowed as it approached a male victim standing in front of the apartment complex. An occupant inside the suspect vehicle fired multiple shots at the victim. One of the bullets struck the victim in the leg and he was transported to a local trauma hospital for medical treatment. The suspect vehicle fled the area eastbound on Ciolino Ave towards Monterey Rd. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a burgundy colored 1990’s Toyota Corolla with aftermarket wheels. Officers located several pieces of evidence at the scene and Detectives are actively investigating the incident. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
