Excessive Heat Warning today thru Tuesday
Hot temperatures and high humidities will combine to create excessive heat conditions starting today and continuing through Tuesday of this week. Maximum temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s today and Monday. The most oppressive day is expected to be on Monday when heat index values could exceed 110 degrees.
Heat exhaustion and/or heat stroke are possible if too much time is spent outside. Reschedule outdoor activities to the early morning or evening hours, if possible. Wear lightweight, loose fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water. If at all possible, stay in an air-conditioned building and check on others who may be susceptible to the extreme heat, especially the elderly.
