Smoke in the Truckee area is from the Hog Fire, burning about 10 miles west of Susanville, CA, according to the National Weather Service. The fire is 5800 acres with 0% containment, as of this morning. Smoke will continue until wind directions change.

Fire engines from Truckee, Squaw Valley and North Tahoe Fire agencies are enroute to the fire this morning.
