On July 17th, 2020, Palmdale Station personnel conducted a DUI/Driver license checkpoint in the city of Palmdale using Office of Traffic Safety grant funds obtained by the Department’s Traffic Services Detail.

The location of the checkpoint was the westbound lanes of Palmdale Boulevard at 15th Street East. The results of the operation were as follows:
Total Vehicles: 1484
Vehicles Waived Through: 30
Vehicles Screened: 1454
DUI Arrests: 2
Standardized Field Sobriety Tests Performed: 3
Citations/Arrests for Driver License Violations: 36
Citations for Miscellaneous Traffic Violation: 2
Towed Vehicles: 9
Released Vehicles per Checkpoint Procedures: 27
Felony arrest for carrying a concealed firearm: 1
