Sergeant Scott Lunger 
Today, marks the 5-year anniversary that our beloved Sgt. Scott Lunger was murdered in the line of duty.
Scott was a great person, a dedicated father, loyal friend, inspirational mentor and a compassionate police officer. He served our Hayward community for 15 years. He will always have a special place in all of our hearts.
He had a captivating smile and always encouraged us to do our best.
Unfortunately, Scott was taken away too soon. We will always miss you more than words can express, and you will always be remembered.
