CRIME ALERT: Recent uptick in home burglaries & thefts from vehicles

In recent days, we have seen an uptick in overnight home burglaries and thefts from vehicles. In each of the burglaries, it is believed that the suspect(s) gained entry to the residence either via an unlocked door or open garage door. During this same period, we have also seen an increase in thefts from vehicles that were parked outside and left unlocked. Other local police departments have seen similar increases in these types of crimes in just the past several days.

Please help prevent yourself from being the victim of these crimes of opportunity by always locking your home and vehicle doors, and keeping your garage door closed, especially after dark.  You are also encouraged to call or text our department at 608-824-7300 if you ever observe suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

Instructions:

If you have any information on these crimes or you see any suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call or text Middleton Police at 608-824-7300.
