POLICE INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – July 27, 2020 – Hollister Police asking for help in investigating a shooting which occurred over the weekend.
On July 24, 2020, at 7:32 pm, Hollister Police officers responded to the 900 block of Fourth St. regarding the report of shots being fired. When officers arrived, officers located the victim of a single gunshot wound in a nearby business. Officers rendered medical aid until the Hollister Fire Department and paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a nearby trama center and was released after being treated.
Officers learned the victim had been crossing Fourth St. when a dark colored SUV drove by and an unknown occupant shot at him. The vehicle then fled the scene and the suspect(s) as well as the vehicle are still outstanding.
Detectives are seeking anyone who may have information related to this investigation.
