Narrative:
On July 24, 2020, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team concluded a narcotics sales investigation involving Nicholas Young out of Woodland Hills, who was involved in the sales of narcotics to residents of Ventura County.

In December 2018, detectives conducted a narcotics investigation involving Young, who was suspected of selling narcotics to residents of Ventura County.  Detectives subsequently arrested Young and seized a large quantity of MDMA (Molly), ecstasy and other drugs.  Young subsequently pled guilty, served a short jail sentence and was placed on Ventura County probation with search terms for narcotics.

In June 2020, detectives received information indicating Young was once again selling narcotics to residents of Ventura County.  Detectives began an investigation and subsequently obtained a search warrant for Young’s residence located in the 24000 Block of Philiprimm Avenue in Woodland Hills.

On July 24, 2020, detectives conducted surveillance and detained Young as he left his residence on foot.  Young had a small quantity of MDMA also referred to as “Molly” and Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in his possession packaged for sale.  Young was arrested and transported back to Ventura County for processing.

After Young’s arrest, detectives served the search warrant at Young’s residence.  Detectives searched the residence pursuant to the search warrant and located additional narcotics, currency and paraphernalia indicative of narcotic sales.  In all, detectives seized over 5000 LSD (tabs) doses, 357 LSD pills, ecstasy pills, MDMA pills, liquid LSD, 26 Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) cartridges and approximately $40,000 believed to be drug sale proceeds.

MDMA (Molly), DMT, LSD and ecstasy are illegal and dangerous “club drugs” that are abused for their stimulant and hallucinogenic properties.  These drugs are illegally obtained and highly abused. MDMA, DMT and LSD are extremely dangerous and their use can lead to severe medical complications and even death.

Based on the investigation, Young was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for narcotic sales violations.  Young remains in custody pending criminal proceedings.
