Deputies arrest Regie Staiger for assault with a deadly weapon

LOCATION: 2000 block Darby Street, Muscoy
SUSPECT(S): Regie Staiger, 44-year-old resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential male victim, 43-year-old resident of Muscoy
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 27, 2020, at approximately 8:56 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Central Station, responded to a reported stabbing, which occurred on Darby Street east of Macy Street in the community of Muscoy. Deputies located a victim with a stab wound to his neck. The suspect was not known and was no longer at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday, July 28, 2020, Deputies Kevin Larson and Rogelio Torres identified the suspect as Regie Staiger. Staiger was located and found in possession of items that connected him to the crime. Staiger was booked into Central Detention Center for the felony charge of PC 245 - Assault with Deadly Weapon and is being held on $50,000 bail.
