Fentanyl Awareness
Last night, the Ontario Police Department responded to a 911 call at a residence where three adults were found unconscious in their home. When officers and Ontario Fire Department paramedics arrived, they determined all parties were deceased, possibly due to exposure to Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a prescription drug, 50-100 times more powerful than morphine. Fentanyl is a high risk drug that can lead to addiction. Just 2 milligrams of Fentanyl can be deadly. Signs of a Fentanyl overdose include: difficulty breathing, reduced heart rate, severe fatigue, dizziness, fainting and heart attack. If you or someone you know is experiencing signs of exposure, or believe they have overdosed on Fentanyl, call 911 immediately.
