Flood Warning until 06:15AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Northern Cass County in west central Missouri... Southeastern Jackson County in west central Missouri... Southwestern Johnson County in west central Missouri...

* Until 615 AM CDT Thursday.

* At 1210 AM CDT, Prolonged rounds of heavy rainfall Wednesday evening has lead to flooding across the warned area. Between three to five inches of rain fell across the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lee's Summit, Raymore, Pleasant Hill, Greenwood, Peculiar, Holden, Lake Lotawana, Lake Winnebago, Lone Jack, Kingsville, Baldwin Park, Strasburg and Gunn City. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area early Thursday morning.

* AFFECTED AREAS: JACKSON, MO ... JOHNSON, MO ... CASS, MO

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
