We'd like to let you know of a charity motorcycle ride that will be in our area tomorrow, Saturday August 1st between the hours of 10:30am and 12 noon.  The ride is called the Christopher Patterson Memorial ride and is honoring the North Aurora resident, who was a U.S. Army Specialist who was killed on January 6, 2012 while serving during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

The ride kicks off at 10:30 a.m. from 950 Hart Rd. in Batavia and goes south to:

• Butterfield Rd. (Rt. 56) west to
• State St. west to
• Lincolnway (Rt. 31) north to
• Oak St. west to
• Randall Rd. south into Aurora and then through Sugar Grove, Maple Park, and Elburn

Around 11:45-12 noon-ish, the ride will return to North Aurora at Tanner Rd. & Norris Rd.  It will then go east to:

• Deerpath Rd. south to
• Oak St. east to
• Orchard Rd. north/east to
• Mooseheart Rd. east to
• Lincolnway (Rt. 31) south to
• State St. (Rt. 56) east to
• Butterfield Rd. east to
• Hart Rd. north to
• 950 Hart Rd. in Batavia

There will be officers and emergency management personnel from numerous agencies assisting with traffic control along the route but please plan accordingly and expect delays if you will be traveling during this area at the time of the ride.
