Burr Ridge Residents,
Recently there has been un increase in "ruse" type burglaries in Burr Ridge and surrounding towns.
Today at approximately 2:43 pm, two subjects in a black pick-up truck attemtpted to enter an occupied house in teh 400 block of Kenmare Drive (Plainfiedl & County Line area) by saying they were checking on a "water emergency".
The subjects left in a black pick-up truck. They are describes as wearing a camoflage type mask and a bandana type mask.
If anyone comes to your house under such circumstances, do not let them in, lock your doors, and call 9-1-1 immediately. No one from teh Village is out checking for water problems in anyone's home, and none will ask for entry into your home.
