Sever storm damage throughout the township with powerlines and trees down
Towns throughout Morris County are experiencing a significant increase in 9-1-1 call volume. It is reported that county wide we currently have 62,000 JCP&L customers out of power. We currently have trees and electrical wires down across the county, and many roads are impassable. We suggest that the public stay off the roads until it is deemed safe to so do, and the storm passes.
Instructions:
The Pequannock Police Department is recommending that all resident stay in their homes until the storm passes. Do NOT approach or touch downed wires. Contact the police department if you have a matter that needs an immediate response. Do Not contact police for property damage only. You can contact the police at a later time for a property damage report.
