The State of Emergency remains in effect due to Tropical Storm Isaias. Residents are reminded to stay off the roads to allow first responders to address all public safety issues. 


The traffic lights at the intersections of East Broad & Springfield Avenue and East Broad & Euclid are currently without power. We expect generators to restore power to these locations shortly.

Currently, there are portions of several main roadways closed due to downed trees and/or wires: 

• Central Avenue (vicinity of Sycamore/Clifton and additional points further south)
• Springfield Avenue (vicinity of Nomehegan Pool)
• East Broad Street (vicinity of Jefferson Avenue)
• Lamberts Mill Road (vicinity of Tamaques Park entrance near Lambert Circle) 
• Edgar Road (vicinity of Lynwood and Hyslip)

Stoneleigh Park is also closed, and residents are advised to stay indoors due to downed trees and wires. In addition, there are a number of other neighborhood roads closed with similar issues. The Westfield Police and Fire Departments continue to assess each issue and are already in contact with the utility companies. We are also aware of power outages throughout Town, and anticipate that PSE&G will provide updates as they become available.
