Crimes Against Children Detectives arrested 18-year-old Neal McCoy for possession of child pornography

LOCATION: City of Fort Irwin (Barstow)
SUSPECT: Neal McCoy, 18 years old, resident of Fridley, Minnesota
SUMMARY:
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Specialized Investigations Division Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), Barstow Sheriff’s Station and the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) began an investigation into the possession of child pornography by a reserve with the United States Army National Guard, who was living on base in Fort Irwin. Through investigation, investigators determined Neal McCoy was in possession of child pornography.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2020, after further investigation, McCoy was arrested for possession of child pornography. McCoy was subsequently booked into High Desert Detention Center with bail set at $100,000.
