The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Officer Recruit. Applicants are required to be a U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term. Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character, possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, and undergo a complete background investigation. Successful Applicants will be enrolled in the Basic Course for Class II Special Law Enforcement Officers beginning in January of 2021.

Interested applicants must submit an application, current resume, and any appropriate certifications to Detective Daniel Liptak no later than 8:00pm on Monday, August 31, 2020. Applications must be picked up in person at Deal Police Headquarters; 190 Norwood Avenue, Deal, NJ 07723.
