Antonio Fuentes was arrested during a traffic stop for felon in possession of a firearm and resisting an officer

LOCATION: Elmwood Road & Baseline Sreet, Highland
SUSPECT: Antonio Valentine Fuentes, 30-year-old male resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 11:24 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted by a Central Station deputy for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Antonio Valentine Fuentes.
During the stop, Fuentes physically resisted the deputy and the deputy suffered minor injuries during the altercation. A stolen handgun and a magazine loaded with ammunition were located in the passenger compartment of his vehicle. Fuentes is a previously convicted felon and active gang member.
Fuentes was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
