DPW will begin curbside pick-up of vegetative debris starting Monday 8/10/2020.
This is a message from the Office of Emergency Management:
Reminder: Residents are asked to place tree limbs and vegetative debris curbside. Beginning Monday, August 10, 2020, the Department of Public Works will be picking up all residential vegetative debris. Due to current power outages, the Borough’s Recycling Center is temporarily closed. Any resident wishing to discard vegetative debris on their own may do so in the parking lot of Gravelly Brook Park (1 Gravelly Brook Way), the Borough’s approved Temporary Debris Management Area (TDMA). The gate to the parking lot will be open daily from approximately 8:00 am to dusk. Due to the opening of the TDMA, Gravelly Brook Park will be closed until further notice.
During the clean-up, residents are reminded to stay clear of any cordoned-off areas containing downed lines of any type.
The Mayor and Council, Borough Administration, and Office of Emergency Management continue ongoing contact with JCP&L in an effort to have power restored as quickly as possible. We will continue to provide updates as they are received. Thank you for your continued patience.
Please remember to wear masks and continue social distancing as we are still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
