Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for Northern Illinois area from 1-7pm. Possible winds up to 100mph. 
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for McHenry County.
This is a particularly dangerous weather situation that has developed. Storms are expected to move into northern Illinois between 1-7 PM.
The storms could produce:
-strong wind gusts up to 100 MPH
-large hail
-possible tornado or two.
Please prepare accordingly by securing outside items and monitoring the weather.
