In the month of August, police departments around the country hold an annual event called National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Due to Covid-19 protocols the Mill Valley Police Department has decided to postpone the event for the month of August, to assist in keeping our community members safe. The Mill Valley Police Department hopes that we can have a National Night Out event later this year. At this time there is no specific date that we can provide to our citizens.
