Deputies arrest Justin Ford for grand theft auto

INCIDENT: Grand Theft Auto
LOCATION: Bryant Street and Oak Glen Rd, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Justin Ford, 22 year-old resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On August 12, 2020, at approximately 4:02 pm, deputies from the Yucaipa Police Station were alerted to a stolen 2019 Hyundai Tucson in the area of Bryant Street and Oak Glen Road. The vehicle was found parked in a turnout on Highway 38, north of Bryant St. A resident told the deputy a white male left the area of the vehicle and headed towards the creek.
Sheriff’s Aviation responded to assist deputies tracking the suspect through the creek area. Sheriff’s helicopter, 40 King2 located Justin Ford on the north side of the creek. Ford was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Central Detention Center for Grand Theft Auto.
