The National Weather Service in Wilmington has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of Central Ohio, including the following areas, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin OH, and Union OH.

* Until 2 AM EDT Saturday

* Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected through the early overnight period. The slow-moving nature of the storms will bring the potential for locally heavy rain and flooding issues. Torrential rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour will be capable of producing flash flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: UNION ... FRANKLIN ... FAIRFIELD ... DELAWARE

Instructions:

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
