2020 National Night Out Cancelled 
In the interest of community safety and due the uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 National Night Out is cancelled.
The event was previously moved to October 6th from August 4th due to the outbreak, but there is still too much uncertainty from a public safety and public health perspective to host the event.
The decision to cancel the event is a difficult decision considering that National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
However, there are too many unknowns to safely plan for this event this year. The City of Harper Woods will look for opportunities to re-schedule this important event and other community engagement events when COVID-19 conditions and restrictions improve.
