SUBJECT: Residential Structure Fire
DATE/TIME: 8/14/2020 @ 10:17 A.M.
LOCATION: 423 West Lincoln Avenue
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Officers Domenic Pedone, Jason Lester, Luke Sciallo, Brett Blank, Ryan Krug, Sergeant Bryan Morgan, Detective Jesse Orbach and Special Officer Thomas McDonough.
NARRATIVE:
On 8/14/20 at approximately 10:17 A.M., Officers Domenic Pedone and Jason Lester responded to a reported structure fire located at 423 West Lincoln Avenue. Upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence. The residents were outside of the home upon arrival and were uninjured, however the family dog did pass away from smoke inhalation.
Firefighters from the Wanamassa Fire Department, Oakhurst Fire Department, the Deal Fire Department and Oakhurst EMS responded. The fire/smoke, which engulfed the entire residence, left it uninhabitable. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Ocean Township Fire District # 1, Fire Marshal Craig Flannigan.
