SCE Urges Reduced Energy Use to Avoid Rolling Blackouts 
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) has just declared a statewide STAGE 2 EMERGENCY due to excessive heat driving up electricity use and putting strain on the grid.
During this emergency, if system conditions do not improve, the CAISO would declare a Stage 3, which will lead to rotating 1-hour power outages.
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) encourages Southern California Edison (SCE) customers to immediately reduce energy to help avoid CAISO rotating outages. SCE will continue to provide updates until conditions improve.
