During the next few days "Rolling Blackouts" should be expected due to the extreme heat and increased demand on the power infrastructure. 
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) has issued a Stage 2 Alert for Northern California. This Alert means there is a high probability that rolling blackouts will occur. At this time we do not know where or a definite time the blackouts will occur, however we have been informed that approximately 31000 customers could be affected in El Dorado County.
The blackouts could occur any time between now and 10:00 and should last approximately 1 hour. Please prepare your home for these blackouts. You can monitor the situation at caiso.com.
You can assist by not using energy as much as possible between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
• Keep thermostats at 78 or above.
• Do not use major appliances.
• Turn out lights.
