HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – August 19, 2020 – Hollister Police asking for help in investigating a homicide.
On August 19, 2020, at 5:17 am, emergency services were dispatched to the 100 block of Sally Street for a report that a person had been shot. Responders located a victim of a shooting that was later identified as Daniel Cervantez (44 of Hollister). Lifesaving efforts were made but Daniel was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The suspect(s) in this case are still unidentified. Investigators are following all leads at this point and are asking for help from the community.
The Hollister Police Department would like to extend our sympathies to Daniel’s family.
