Meridian Man Charged with Malicious Harassment
 
On Wednesday, August 19, 2020 Meridian Police arrested thirty-eight (38) year old Jeremiah ANDERSON of Meridian for one (1) count felony, Malicious Harassment and one (1) count misdemeanor, False Personation.

At approximately 9:49AM, Meridian Officers were dispatched to a fight at a residence in the 300 block of Cherry Lane. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the suspect who provided officers with a false name and date of birth. Officers spoke with the victim, an African-American male, who stated ANDERSON, who does not live in the neighborhood approached him, called him racial slurs and repeatedly threatened violence upon him because of his race. Other witnesses corroborated the victim’s account and ANDERSON continued to use racial slurs and threats in the presence of the officers. 

ANDERSON was arrested and transported to Ada County Jail for the above, mentioned charges.
