Los Altos Hills Update on Santa Cruz and San Mateo County Fires 2:30 pm Aug.19 
Although there is a heavy amount of smoke in the air, there are no fires in Los Altos Hills. The fires are currently located to the east and the west of Town and are being closely monitored by Santa Clara County Fire. County Fire provides the Town with regular updates on the status of the fires, and this information is being relayed to residents.
At this time, the Town encourages all residents to stay alert to your surroundings, watch local news, and look for fire status updates posted on Nixle an Alert SCC. Make sure that you are signed up to receive these alerts by going to https://www.losaltoshills.ca.gov/370/Emergency-Alerts---Register.
