On August 21, 2020, at 3:10 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a victim of a stabbing at a residence in the 400-block of Moose St, in Tupman, CA. Deputies arrived and located two victims who had been stabbed. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The suspect was identified as Alan Oaks, who fled the scene prior to deputies arriving. At 8:45 p.m., deputies assigned to the KCSO Special Investigations Division and Metro Patrol, located Oaks in the Oildale area and arrested him. Oaks was booked into the Central Receiving Facility for murder and other charges. The victim's name will be released at a later time by the Coroner's Office.
