Proverbs 28:1 says “The wicked flees though there is no one to pursue.”  When members of Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite COBRA Squad were at a gas station on Hwy 138 and Taylor Rd talking to a couple of individuals, they found it odd that a man they were not interested in ran to his car and took off at a high rate of speed.  COBRA members told the individuals they were speaking to bye, and pursued the man to see why he did not desire to be in their presence.   The man later identified as Brent Crooks did in fact turned out to be a crook.  

Crooks sideswipe a vehicle trying to out maneuver COBRA, and when the COBRA squad blocked his car in, Crooks began reaching for the floorboard.  Crooks was stopped cold when he realized that he was already surrounded at gunpoint.  Crooks was in possession of two handguns, marijuana for distribution with scales, and was also wanted for armed robbery out of DeKalb County.

The moral of this story is that crooks like Crooks need to stay out of Clayton County because this is the place that when the wicked flee, they will be pursued.  Crooks (along with many other crooks) is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known to the world as “The Hill-ton.”
