SUBJECT: Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Howell Man Arrested on Drug Charges

ACCUSED: Jose Guzman // 35 year old male // Howell, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On August 22nd 2020 at approximately 2:00 AM Detectives Christopher Clune and Michael Legg were driving on West Park Avenue on their way back to police headquarters following an unrelated investigation. They observed a vehicle driving erratically and tailgating them. They then observed this vehicle commit other motor vehicle violations as well. Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle containing a male, later identified as 35 year old Jose Guzman from Brick NJ. Subsequent to this motor vehicle stop Guzman was found to be in possession of Cocaine and related drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and eventually transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with possession of Cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also issued several motor summonses. He was released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.
