Red Flag Warning Cancelled – Drift Smoke Remains in the Area.
 
The Red Flag Warning has been Cancelled.   We are still receiving drift smoke from multiple CalFire incidents, there are no fires in the City of Lafayette or surrounding areas.  Air quality continues to be in the unhealthy range for many areas of Contra Costa County.  Limit outdoor activity, stay indoors, and keep windows and doors closed as much as possible.    Spare the air days continue through Wednesday, August 26th.

● Broad scale thunderstorm threat has passed the Bay Area.
● Residual moisture crossing North Bay may trigger a few showers this afternoon through tonight.
 
Weather Summary
The main core of moisture and instability has passed the Bay Area, allowing for the Red Flag
Warning to be cancelled.
As the remaining residual moisture lifts past the region, there is an outside chance of a few
showers developing over North Bay. This will mainly impact Napa and Sonoma Counties. While
lightning is not expected, breezy winds around any of the stronger showers could occur.
Beyond Tuesday morning, we see no significant fire weather threats through the end of the
week.
